Built by the Portuguese over 200 years ago, The Old Courtyard Hotel is centred around a cobbled courtyard with an ancient mango tree. The hotel has only eight guest rooms, varying in size but all charmingly decorated. All the rooms face the courtyard with bathrooms attached (hot and cold running water). Rooms are done in period style four-poster beds, wooden floors and ceilings, old furniture. Once you step outside, there are the Jewish spice shops, Chinese fishing nets, a Dutch palace and India's oldest church right on your doorstep.
The hotel has a restaurant that serves continental and Kerala food focusing mainly on fresh seafood.
The delightful Old Courtyard Hotel was a private residence at one point of time in history. All the 8 rooms at the Old Courtyard Hotel are luxury cocoons with wooden floors, mirrors, carved wooden furniture and period décor.
Sit under the mango tree in the courtyard and sip a cup of hot coffee as local artists engage you in folk art performances on the open-air cobbled courtyard.
Spoil yourself with an array of Indian and Continental dishes that are served at the old Courtyard Hotel restaurant.
